Hahaaaa, had a family trip to the beach yesterday.

Took an absolute age to get there due to parents arguing over which beach to go to.

I think that we'd been to about 6 before Mum decided she liked it. Seriously.

(If you're interested, it was West Beach near Llandudno, Wales, only a certain way up it to a point where there are rocks AND sand, and you can see out to sea as well as across to the rest of Wales.)

On one of the beaches we went to, we sat down on the rocks and ate egg sandwiches while Mum assured everyone that, once the tide went out, there would be sand. (We were all getting pretty uncomfortable on the rocks.) Eventually, my sister put her wetsuit on, waded as deep as she could go and assured everyone, with the help of a snorkel, that it was rocks all the way. (Which prompted another beach move.)

Thanks to a trip down Llandudno Pier, however, I now have a pirate flag and a copy of Ghostbusters on DVD. The latter only cost £2.99 so I'm not sure if it's of a similar nature to the flag. I hope not.

Have made £41 selling 2 phones on fonebank.com! (Samsung P260 and HTC S710, if you're interested. They were knocking about in a drawer so I asked Dad if I could.)

Plus an extra £5.05 for a Motorola A910 on envirofone.com and I'm doing pretty well :)

Found out which ones offered the best prices on this website. 'S'all good!

Have just eaten my body weight in Jelly Tots in the hope that I will finish my History coursework super-fast, riding the crest of an insane sugar high.

So far it isn't working.

Went into town yesterday with some friends. I now have some colourful Sharpies and a large piece of white card that says 'FREE HUGS' on it. Will probably come in useful someday.

Upon internet investigation, I discovered this website. It mentions 'Miss Mariam Dudu' and various other email scams that have been done recently, which are quite similar.

Have decided to click 'Junk', after submitting it to their scam thing.

I don't know how to start this, so I'll just begin.

I've spent most of today failing to do my German coursework, which is supposed to be an account of a holiday. So far I have one paragraph. I haven't been struggling because it's especially hard: it's just that I really need to find a summer job if I want to go to New York on the school choir tour next year and everywhere I have tried so far has failed. When I next get a chance, I'll go into town and give copies of my CV to all the small businesses and shops but until then, no job for me. I called a number given on the internet for a small cafe down the road but I doubt it'll come to anything. (Sigh.)

Das Essen war sehr lecker aber nicht so gesund: wir haben oft Hamburgers und Pommes frites gegessen. Typisches Amerikanes Essen!

On the plus side, I can play Bella's Lullaby on piano.
