I don't know how to start this, so I'll just begin.

I've spent most of today failing to do my German coursework, which is supposed to be an account of a holiday. So far I have one paragraph. I haven't been struggling because it's especially hard: it's just that I really need to find a summer job if I want to go to New York on the school choir tour next year and everywhere I have tried so far has failed. When I next get a chance, I'll go into town and give copies of my CV to all the small businesses and shops but until then, no job for me. I called a number given on the internet for a small cafe down the road but I doubt it'll come to anything. (Sigh.)

Das Essen war sehr lecker aber nicht so gesund: wir haben oft Hamburgers und Pommes frites gegessen. Typisches Amerikanes Essen!

On the plus side, I can play Bella's Lullaby on piano.
